WJ now expects Q4/2007 revenue to be up on Q3

According to preliminary revenue results for fourth-quarter 2007, WJ Communications Inc of San Jose, CA, USA, which designs and supplies RF products for wireless infrastructure, RFID and WiMAX markets, expects revenue of $10.2-10.5m (up on November’s guidance of $9.3-10.3m and up 4-7% on Q3’s $9.8m). This is due to strength within the distribution side of the business, says president and CEO Bruce Diamond.

Together with an improvement in working capital, WJ now expects Q4/2007 to generate $3.3m in cash, resulting in a cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments balance of $16.5m at the end of 2007.

“We are pleased with the effectiveness of our cost-savings initiatives implemented over the course of the last year, which result in a lower-cost business model and provide significant leverage on revenue and operational improvements,” says Diamond.

WJ expects to report full fourth-quarter and year-end 2007 results in February.
