Surfect appoints solar product manager

Surfect Technologies Inc of Tempe, AZ, USA, which develops and manufactures interconnect and packaging solutions for solar cell, LED and power management applications, has appointed David Pham as product manager, responsible for process, software and product development, as well as global sales strategies (including coordination with representatives and distributors).

Surfect says that Pham has extensive experience in the solar and alternative energy sectors. Prior to joining the firm, he was chief consultant at the NextLevelGroup, responsible for sales, marketing, and renewable energy consulting for small to large businesses. Previously, Pham worked for Solvision Inc as global applications engineering manager, focusing on technical marketing, applications, sales, and engineering support for solar and silicon wafer products and services. He has also held positions with Hitachi Semiconductor, Advanced Micro Devices, and Motorola. He also has a B.Sc. from University of California in electrical and computer engineering.

“His strong management and engineering experience are a significant boost to our efforts to reposition Surfect from a development-stage company to commercialization," says CEO Steve Anderson. "David’s relationships throughout the solar industry will be highly beneficial as we source new licensing partners," he adds. "Additionally, David’s expertise in global sales and marketing will provide us valuable support to capitalize on the solar industry’s rapid expansion as we continue to establish new, strategic partnerships in the US, Europe, and Asia.”
