KLA-Tencor president and COO Kispert plans exit

KLA-Tencor Corporation of Milpitas, CA, USA says that its president and COO John Kispert is to leave the company at the end of 2008, and that his management responsibilities will be assumed by CEO Rick Wallace.

“John has been a key contributor at KLA-Tencor for many years. During his tenure with the company he has seen us through the implementation of numerous strategic initiatives, multiple acquisitions, the addition of new global facilities, the launch of industry-leading products and much more,” said Wallace.

Kispert joined KLA-Tencor in 1995. He held several positions within company before his appointment as president and COO in January 2006, and interim CFO in March 2008.

Effective September 3, Kispert’s responsibilities as CFO will be assumed by KLA-Tencor’s newly appointed CFO Mark P. Dentinger, who will report directly to Wallace.

“Mark is a seasoned executive with experience at publicly-held hardware and software companies and he brings a strong financial and accounting foundation, which we are confident will benefit the company and our investors,” said Wallace.

From February 2005 to April 2008, Dentinger served as executive vice president and CFO for BEA Systems Inc, until the company was acquired by Oracle. Prior to BEA Systems, Dentinger served in various financial management positions at Compaq Computer Corporation (now Hewlett-Packard) for six years, where he became director of finance, high performance systems manufacturing in 1996.

Dentinger received his bachelor of science in economics from St. Mary’s College of California and his MBA in finance from the University of California at Berkeley.
