TriQuint CEO to receive Oregon Technology Executive of the Year award

RF front-end product manufacturer and foundry services provider TriQuint Semiconductor Inc of Hillsboro, OR, USA says that president & CEO Ralph Quinsey has been selected by the Oregon Council of AeA (formerly the American Electronics Association) to receive its 2009 Technology Executive of the Year award. The award will be presented at this year’s Oregon Technology Awards program at the Portland Art Museum in Portland, OR on 7 May.

Quinsey was selected on the basis of his leadership he has shown in TriQuint, the greater Oregon community, and the technology industry, as his results- and employee-oriented approach has contributed to TriQuint’s year-on-year growth over the past three years during a challenging period for much of the semiconductor industry. Quinsey is recognized for streamlining the operations and focusing the market direction of the firm since he joined the firm in July 2002 as president & CEO.

In his spare time, Quinsey contributes to his community via membership on the advisory board of Portland State University’s Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science, which receives input and funding from TriQuint.

For this year’s award, Quinsey was chosen by a collection of the program’s previous Technology Executive of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Award recipients who make up the selection committee. They evaluated nominations from the committee and from the technology community at large.
