Mimix launches QFN plastic packaged 37-40GHz buffer amplifier for PTP applications

Mimix Broadband Inc of Houston, TX, USA has made available samples of a buffer amplifier in a standard RoHS-compliant 3mm x 3mm QFN plastic package, making it easy to implement and handle in volume applications.

The XB1014-QT covers the 37-40GHz frequency range and delivers +20dBm P1dB compression point and +30.5dBm OIP3. It has 21dB small-signal gain and is suited to wireless communications applications such as point-to-point (PTP) microwave radio.

The new product is suitable as a driver amplifier in the 38GHz microwave radio band, says product line director David Richardson. “This device provides users with a highly linear, high-gain driver stage, and the innovation of a high-performance 40GHz amplifier in a plastic 3mm x 3mm QFN package,” he adds.

Production quantities will be available in 4-6 weeks.
