Riber wins Compact 21 MBE system order from IHP for graphene research

Riber S.A. of Bezons, France, which manufactures molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) systems as well as evaporation sources and effusion cells, has received an order for a Compact 21 MBE system from IHP laboratory (Innovation of High Performance Microelectronics), of Frankfurt (Oder), Germany.

IHP’s Compact 21 system will be devoted to developing graphene-based applications. Graphene is a promising new material for the development of many innovative applications, such as a new generation of ultra-fast transistors.

As a European research and innovation center, IHP co-operates with numerous industrial and academic partners within the framework of high performance microelectronics and communication technology research. In particular, the laboratory develops specific expertise in material research and technological developments, as well as circuit and system design.

Riber says that the Compact 21 MBE research system is highly flexible and offers great adaptability to meet the most demanding specifications of applied research on compound semiconductor materials.
