Abound Solar partners with GP Joule to power 3.2MW of projects

Manufacturer of cadmium telluride (CdTe) thin-film photovoltaic (PV) solar modules, Abound Solar of Loveland, CO, USA and GP Joule GmbH, a specialist in solar project development based in Reußenköge Germany, are partnering on two large ground-mount projects in Bosbüll and Treia Germany that will utilize Abound Solar modules.

The Bosbüll installation has already begun and will total 800kW DC in capacity. Preparation for the Treia installation is underway and will total 2.4MW DC in capacity. Both systems utilize REFUSol 500k and 630k inverters from REFU Solar Electronics.

“GP Joule is rapidly expanding to meet the incredible demand for high-quality, end-to-end renewable energy project development,” said Heiner Gaertner, managing director of GP Joule.  “Abound Solar is uniquely positioned to help us continue that growth as it continues to ramp production capacity and support its customers.”

“Abound Solar has significantly ramped up production and module efficiencies since its commercial launch and is excited to work with an experienced partner like GP Joule,” said Tom Tiller, chief executive officer of Abound Solar.  “We are glad to work together to demonstrate the performance and reliability of Abound Solar modules in large-scale installations in Germany.”
