Emcore wins Supplier Excellence Award from Space Systems/Loral

Emcore Corp of Albuquerque, NM, USA, which makes components and subsystems for the broadband, fiber-optic, and solar power markets, has received a Supplier Excellence Award from Space Systems Loral (SS/L).

Emcore has been a supplier to Space Systems/Loral for the past 12 years and is currently under a long-term supply agreement contract to manufacture and deliver high-efficiency, multi-junction solar cells for SS/L’s satellite programs.

“Over the years, Emcore’s product performance, delivery track record and overall support have been outstanding,” says Vivian Mackintosh, VP of material at Space Systems/Loral. “We are very pleased to recognize the contribution this company has made in helping SS/L provide the world's most powerful satellites."
