TriQuint finalist for Oregon TechAwards ‘System/Hardware Company of the Year’

As part of the Technology Awards program of TechAmerica Oregon (formerly the Oregon Council of AeA), RF product maker and foundry services provider TriQuint Semiconductor Inc of Hillsboro, OR, USA has named a finalist for the 2011 Oregon Technology Awards ‘Company of the Year’ in the ‘System/Hardware’ category. The category’s other two nominees are FLIR Systems Inc and nLIGHT Corp.

Three finalists were selected in each of five categories (‘System/Hardware’, ‘Software’, ‘Tech Services’, ‘Rising Star’ and ‘Cool Product’) from a total of about 66 entries representing a broad range of companies.

The annual Oregon TechAwards celebrates excellence and achievement in the region’s technology industry. In particular, the System/Hardware Company of the Year award is presented to the firm that has made the biggest, positive impact to their industry and to the region. Winners will be announced at the Oregon Technology Awards ceremony on 19 May at the Portland Art Museum.

TriQuint has won the award for the previous two years. In 2009, president & CEO Ralph Quinsey was also recognized as TechAmerica Oregon’s ‘Technology Executive of the Year’.
