RFMD launches 2.7-4.4V, 915MHz transmit/receive module for AMR solutions
Designed for 868MHz and 902-928MHz automatic meter reading (AMR) solutions, the new RF6549 from RF Micro Devices Inc of Greensboro, NC, USA features separate ports for Rx and Tx paths, and two ports on the output for connecting a diversity solution or a test port. The power amplifier (PA) section includes a nominal Tx output power of 28dBm.
Features include a single 50Ω bi-directional transceiver interface; through-path insertion loss of 1dB; an antenna diversity switch; and a low-noise amplifier (LNA) with bypass mode.
Applications include: wireless automated metering, wireless alarm systems, portable battery-powered equipment, smart energy, 868MHz/900MHz ISM-band applications, 450MHz Rx through-path, and single-chip RF front-end modules.
The device comes in a 6mm x 6mm, 32-pin package. Pricing begins at $2.17 each in 750-unit quantities.
