Indium Corp’s Ploessl named Compounds product manager
Indium Corp of Clinton, NY, USA has named Robert Ploessl PhD as product manager for indium, gallium, germanium and tin compounds.
Dr Ploessl will work with Indium Corp’s global team of engineering, sales, operations and R&D professionals to capitalize on the growth of LEDs, metal-organic precursors, power storage systems, fiber optics, and next-generation OLED displays. He will develop the firm’s marketing strategies, while bringing insights learned from the technical team to further product development efforts. Indium Corp’s compounds business includes indium trichloride (InCl3), gallium trichloride (GaCl3), germanium tetrachloride (GeCl4), as well as a full range of oxides.
Ploessl joined Indium Corp in 2010. He holds a doctorate in physics from the University of Regensburg in Germany and an MBA from the S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University. Ploessl is based at Indium Corp’s global headquarters in Clinton, NY.
