Cree introduces LR6-10L six-inch LED downlight

LED chip, lamp and lighting fixture maker Cree Inc of Durham, NC, USA has introduced its LR6-10L six-inch LED downlight, which delivers 1000 lumens of 90+ CRI light while achieving 90 lumens per watt.

Combining Cree TrueWhite Technology with an integrated driver to enable energy savings of up to 50% compared to incumbent CFL technology or 30% compared to competing LED products, the LR6-10L uses only 11 watts of power, making it ideal for use in new or retrofit commercial applications, says the firm.

“The latest Cree LR6 downlight showcases what’s possible with LED lighting,” says Greg Merritt, VP, lighting at Cree. “When you consider the industry-leading efficacy, energy savings and long lifetime, I see no reason to specify a CFL or incandescent downlight again.”

The fixture is available in color temperatures to match existing installations of incandescent, halogen and fluorescent technologies (2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K). Featuring a 10-year warranty and dimmable to 5% on a broad range of dimmers, the LR6-10L LED downlight is also ENERGY STAR qualified.
