TowerJazz receives Supplier Excellence Award from MACOM

Specialty foundry TowerJazz (which has fabrication plants at Tower Semiconductor Ltd in Migdal Haemek, Israel, and at its subsidiaries Jazz Semiconductor Inc in Newport Beach, CA, USA and TowerJazz Japan Ltd) has received the 2013 Supplier Excellence Award from M/A-COM Technology Holdings Solutions Inc of Lowell, MA, USA (which makes semiconductors, components and subassemblies for analog, RF, microwave and millimeter-wave applications).

In 2013, MACOM acquired Mindspeed Technologies Inc of Newport Beach, CA, USA (a designer of network infrastructure semiconductors for communications applications), which has been a TowerJazz customer for over 10 years. The award recognizes the foundry’s continued support, partnership commitment and delivery performance to Mindspeed and now MACOM.

MACOM uses a broad range of TowerJazz’s specialty process offerings such as mixed-signal/CMOS, RF CMOS, BiCMOS and SiGe BiCMOS, including SBC18H2 and SBC18H3 advanced nodes, to develop products such as cross-point switches, transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs), laser drivers, clock data recovery (CDR) chip-sets, power amplifiers (PAs) and equalizers.
