MACOM to showcase extended portfolio of optical communications technology at OFC

In booth #1947 at the Optical Fiber Communication conference & exposition (OFC 2015) in the Los Angeles Convention Center (24-26 March), M/A-COM Technology Solutions Inc of Lowell, MA, USA (which makes semiconductors, components and subassemblies for analog RF, microwave, millimeter-wave and photonic applications) will showcase a complete portfolio of clock and data recovery chipsets (CDRs), transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs), laser drivers and lasers covering 1G to 100G and beyond.

Leveraging experience in optical networking along with a combination of semiconductor technologies, MACOM creates solutions supporting data-center, client access, metro and long-haul applications.

Specifically, the firm is showcasing its product portfolio serving optical communications applications for enterprise and telecom infrastructure, including the following:

  • solutions for data-center, mobile backhaul, metro and long-haul networks;
  • Fabry-Perot (FP) and distributed feedback (DFB) lasers, laser and modulator drivers, TIAs and CDRs for line- and client-side systems ranging from 1G to 400G; and
  • what is claimed to be the broadest portfolio of laser drivers and TIAs for complete FTTx coverage.
