Essentia by Cree LED downlight portfolio launched

LED chip, lamp and lighting fixture maker Cree Inc of Durham, NC, USA says that its new 'Essentia by Cree' LED downlight portfolio offers complete solutions in a variety of configurations, including downlights, wall washers and adjustable accents. Available to ship in late spring, the product line is optimized for commercial and new construction applications.

"The Essentia by Cree portfolio continues to expand choices for essential lighting applications, giving you more power to choose wisely and a greater ability to customize and control your ROI," says David Elien, Cree senior VP, lighting.

Essentia by Cree downlights are engineered for efficiency and high-quality design, delivering a color rendering index (CRI) of 90 in a variety of color temperatures, including 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K. The comprehensive portfolio delivers efficacy up to 93 LPW (lumens per Watt) and is available in a range of 4", 6" and 8" round apertures with out-of-the box dimming capabilities to 1% and universal voltage.

Cree says that the complete portfolio of matched and complementary downlights ensures uniform light quality, performance and consistent appearance across entire lighting projects. The line features semi-specular reflector finishes and multiple reflector color options, with designs and colors that complement the look and feel of other Cree products.

Essentia by Cree downlights have a 50,000 hour rated lifetime and are ENERGY STAR certified.

Essentia by Cree LED Track Light portfolio now available 

Cree says that the new Essentia by Cree LED Track Light portofolio is now available for orders and shipments. The LED track lights are among the first products available from the new Essentia by Cree lighting portfolio, targeting commercial applications.

The portfolio includes LED-integrated track heads with precision optics for beam spread. The track lighting casts smooth light without fringing, hot spots or discoloration to beautify commercial applications including retail, office, restaurant, and hospitality. The product delivers performance up to 80LPW at 80 CRI in color temperatures of 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K.

The Essentia by Cree lighting portfolio is engineered to provide outstanding performance for new construction and renovation applications and comes with a 5-year limited warranty. Additional new product categories in the portfolio are targeted to include exit and emergency lighting and outdoor lighting.

The new Essentia by Cree families of products are being showcased in booth #2637 at LIGHTFAIR International (LFI2016) in San Diego (26-28 April).
