Pasternack expands portfolio of in-stock PIN diode switches spanning 10MHz-67GHz

Pasternack Enterprises Inc of Irvine, CA, USA (which makes both passive and active RF, microwave and millimeter-wave products) has greatly expanded its portfolio of in-stock solid state PIN diode switches covering frequencies from 10MHz to 67GHz. The 69 unique new models of 50 ohm PIN diode switches are available in compact connectorized package styles.

The new PIN diode switches offer a broad range of solutions in applications where fast switching and long lifetime are critical. PIN diode switches are used extensively in aerospace, defense and commercial RF, microwave and millimeter-wave communication systems, switch matrix assemblies, and production testing environments for signal routing functions between control components. Integrated TTL-compatible driver circuitry offers accurate logic controls for computer command and automated test systems, says the firm.

The new PIN diode switches are available in popular configurations including SPST, SPDT, SP3T, SP4T, SP5T, SP6T, SP8T, SP12T and Transfer models covering select broadband frequencies ranging from 10MHz to 67GHz. The switches offer high isolation up to 80dB, fast switching speeds down to 50ns, insertion loss levels as low as 1dB, and dual operating voltage ranges from -15V to -5V and +5Vdc. Maximum RF input power handling varies from 0.1W to 1W (CW), depending on the model. Additionally, all models are available in rugged packages that are designed to meet military-grade environmental test conditions, and several models feature field-replaceable connectors.
