Skyworks launches 75Ω switches for set-top box and CATV applications
Skyworks Solutions Inc of Woburn, MA, USA (which manufactures analog and mixed-signal semiconductors) has launched two single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) 75Ω switches that are suitable for terrestrial and cable set-top box, cable modem and home gateway, personal video recorder (PVR) and digital video recorder (DVR) applications.
The SKY13547-490LF and SKY13548-385LF feature ultra-high linearity and meet the rigorous requirements of DOCSIS 3.0/3.1 applications. They also have very low insertion loss and high power handling capability.
The new switches are fully integrated and internally matched, reducing bill-of-material costs for users. They are available in compact 1mm x 1mm x 0.45mm and 2mm x 2mm x 0.55mm packages, saving application board space and cost for OEMs.
