Riber receives order for MBE research system from Germany’s Fraunhofer IAF

Riber S.A. of Bezons, France, which manufactures molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) systems as well as evaporation sources and effusion cells, says that Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Solid State Physics (IAF) in Freiburg, Germany has ordered an MBE 49 research system, for delivery in 2018.

The system will be used for electronic applications development based on compound semiconductors.

Riber says that the new order confirms the widespread market adoption of the MBE 49, which it claims is one of the most efficient thin-film deposition systems.
