For the sixth consecutive year, EV Group of St Florian, Austria – a supplier of wafer bonding and lithography equipment for semiconductor, micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) and nanotechnology applications – has earned all three awards resulting from VLSIresearch Inc’s annual Customer Satisfaction Survey.

For 2018, EVG has again been voted one of the ‘10 BEST Focused Suppliers of Chip Making Equipment’ and one of the ‘THE BEST Suppliers of Fab Equipment’, increasing its score in both award segments compared with last year. EVG also again received a ‘RANKED 1st award in the ‘Specialty Fab Equipment’ category. In addition, for the second consecutive year (after the category’s inaugural award last year) EVG was recognized as one of ‘THE BEST Suppliers of Fab Equipment to Specialty Chip Makers’, increasing its score in this category as well.

According to VLSIresearch, EVG earned its highest ‘ BEST’ rating ever this year, with its highest category scores in technical leadership, recommend supplier, trust in supplier and product performance.

This year marks the 16th consecutive year that EVG has been listed among ‘THE BEST Suppliers of Fab Equipment’, as well as the sixth year that EVG has achieved the number-one spot as the highest-ranked wafer bonder supplier. Since VLSIresearch in 2017 began including a fourth award category for suppliers to foundation and specialty chip makers, EVG has won awards in all four award categories.

“EV Group’s customer-driven technology and operations - including a willingness to innovate and invest in challenging applications, and its support for early technology implementations - help enable its customers to bring products to market cost-effectively. These attributes, along with a focus on equipment design aimed at high-volume industrial production, play a crucial role in the company’s approach to customer satisfaction,” comments VLSIresearch’s CEO & chairman G. Dan Hutcheson. “Excellent overall customer and technical support, long-term partnership and the high degree of quality in their equipment were among the attributes cited by customers in their feedback,” he adds.

“The micro- and nano-technology markets that we serve face many unprecedented challenges as well as exciting opportunities,” says Hermann Waltl, EVG’s executive sales and customer support director. “Now more than ever, having close partnerships between suppliers and customers in these markets is essential to achieving manufacturing success,” he adds.
