Digi-Key and Cree announce global distribution agreement for SiC power devices

Cree Inc of Durham, NC, USA has signed a global distribution agreement for its silicon carbide-based power devices to be distributed by Digi-Key Corp of Thief River Falls, MN, USA.

Digi-Key is stocking Cree's Schottky diodes with voltage ratings ranging from 300V to 1200V and current ratings from 1A to 20A. The new distribution agreement will enable Digi-Key to fulfill both design and production quantity needs.

"Cree's expertise in silicon carbide brings greater energy performance to a number of power applications, including power factor correction in personal computer and laptop power supplies," said Digi-Key's president and CEO Mark
Larson.

As a full-service provider of both prototype/design and production quantities of electronic components, Digi-Key offers more than 850,000 products from over 330 manufacturers, and claims to be one of the world's
fastest growing distributors of electronic components. Access to the company's product offering is available 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week.
