TriQuint restructures European sales and distribution coverage

RFIC maker and foundry services provider TriQuint Semiconductor of Hillsboro, OR, USA says that it is restructuring its sales coverage and product distribution across Europe. Redtree Solutions has been named as official sales representative for much of Europe, the UK, Ireland and the Nordic countries. TriQuint’s existing European distributor, Avnet Memec, will now also serve France, Italy, the UK and Ireland after having previously covered much of Western and Eastern Europe.

“Our affiliation with Redtree Solutions is new; however, the Redtree name is not new to RF customers across Europe,” says Graham Teague, managing director/sales director (EMEA) for TriQuint Semiconductor GmbH of Munich, Germany. “We look forward to their work with Avnet Memec and our own TriQuint staff in introducing our wireless products and capabilities to new customers across Europe, while also supporting our existing customers.” Jean-Marie Houillon, co-founder of Redtree Solutions and director of the South Europe Region adds, “TriQuint Semiconductor brings complementary technologies to Redtree’s RF, wireless and microwave strategy.”

Teague says that the logistics expertise of Avnet Memec’s distributorship and Redtree’s demand creation methods across Europe will offer customers direct, personal service in conjunction with TriQuint offices already serving Europe. “Redtree Solutions and Avnet Memec are extensions of our own sales force,” he adds.

“Many customers who buy through distribution seek an increasing variety of RF technologies to differentiate their end product, whether in industrial applications, communications, security or other segments,” says Avnet Memec’s president Steve Haynes. “Having the opportunity to sell TriQuint to a broader market will help many of our customers to achieve more complete RF solutions.”
