Edwards hires operations and technology director

Vacuum and exhaust-management equipment maker Edwards of Crawley, West Sussex, UK has appointed Ron Krisanda as operations and technology director. Krisanda joins Edwards from Tyco International, where he was president of the Fire and Security business for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Previously, he held senior management positions at Motorola/General Instrument Corp and Multilink Technology Corp.

Krisanda’s senior management experience at some of the world’s most successful blue chip electronics companies, and his extensive experience in Asia (where many of Edwards’ key customers are located), will be valuable to the firm, says CEO Nigel Hunton. “We have transformed the performance of Edwards during the last 18 months, despite tough market conditions, and Ron will play a key role as we continue to adapt our business to market demands so that we emerge from the downturn stronger than before,” he adds.
