Taiwan’s Arima Optoelectronics Corporation has ordered an AIX 2800G4 HT MOCVD system from Aixtron of Aachen, Germany to mass-produce GaN-based ultra-high brightness LEDs.
The AIX 2800G4 HT is Aixtron’s latest reactor for GaN materials, and according to the company it provides the highest wafer capacity available on the market.
P. J. Wang, president of Arima Optoelectronics, said: "Aixtron MOCVD systems are always dependable. Every system has performed as announced or better whatever the type of optoelectronic product we are looking to manufacture.”
Earlier this month, Arima ordered an Aixtron AIX 2600G3 MOCVD system, in 49x2" wafer configuration, to mass-produce red, yellow and yellow/green ultra-high brightness (UHB) LEDs.
