Seoul Semiconductor reports record revenue in Q2
South Korean LED maker Seoul Semiconductor Co Ltd has reported record consolidated revenue of KRW335bn in second-quarter 2021, up 25% year-on-year.
Overall, sound growth continued again across all divisions including IT (back-light unit), LT (general lighting) and AM (automotive). The AM division led the growth, increasing its revenue by nearly 50% year-on-year.
Seoul Semiconductor comments that the current earnings trend is in line with the company’s upbeat business outlook of earlier this year, and that record growth will likely continue in third-quarter 2021 due to ongoing solid demand.
Detailed earnings and revenue guidance for third-quarter 2021 are to be announced together with the provisional second-quarter earnings towards the end of July.
