Seoul Viosys reports record revenue in Q2

Seoul Viosys Co Ltd, a subsidiary of South Korea’s Seoul Semiconductor, says that it has achieved record consolidated revenue of KRW131bn in second-quarter 2021, up 7.5% quarter-on-quarter and 27% year-on-year.

Overall, sound growth continued from second-generation technologies including WICOP (wafer-level integrated chip on PCB), Violeds and general visible LEDs, with WICOP leading revenue growth by rising by 15% quarter-on-quarter.

Seoul Viosys comments that the current earnings trend is still in line with the company’s upbeat business outlook of earlier this year, and that record growth will likely continue in third-quarter 2021 due to ongoing solid demand.

Detailed earnings and revenue guidance for third-quarter 2021 are to be announced together with the provisional second-quarter earnings towards the end of July.
