Lumileds boosts LUXEON HL2X lumen maintenance, longevity and color stability

LED maker Lumileds LLC of San Jose, CA, USA has upgraded its high-power LUXEON HL2X portfolio with higher light output and superior lifetime and color stability.

Now, with luminous flux of 330lm or more at a drive current of 700mA and a temperature of 85°C, LUXEON HL2X provides a suitable choice for roadway, architectural, high- and low-bay lighting, and even torches. Also, with over 12,000 hours of test data, LUXEON HL2X has color shift <2pts and supports manufacturers submitting to tenders with the most stringent long-term stability requirements.

The 3.5mm x 3.5mm domed emitter with a standard 3-stripe footprint is highly compatible with similar emitters, and standard optics are available. Options for 70, 80 and 90CRI (color rendering index) and correlated color temperatures (CCTs) of 2700–6500K are available now for order with standard lead times.

“Luminaire manufacturers rely on four key factors: performance, reliability, ecosystem and availability,” says Noman Rangwala, director of strategic marketing & business development. “A broad and rich ecosystem – from boards to drivers, optics, and assembly are in place. And we have invested to be able to deliver on-time with standard lead-times,” he adds.
