Aeluma appoints former NVIDIA finance leader Mike Byron to board
Aeluma Inc of Goleta, CA, USA – which uses compound semiconductor materials on large-diameter substrates to develop technologies for mobile, automotive, AI, defense & aerospace, communication and quantum computing – has appointed finance executive Mike Byron to its board of directors.
Byron has over 30 years of experience in financial operations, accounting and scaling technology companies. He joined NVIDIA in 2002 and held various finance leadership positions over 22 years, where he played a key role in the company’s growth from a rising GPU innovator, before recently retiring as VP of finance operations & systems. Before that he was VP & chief accounting officer from 2011 to 2019. Prior to NVIDIA, Byron held finance and accounting roles at public technology companies and spent eight years as an auditor at Deloitte. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from University of California Santa Barbara and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1990. Byron also serves as a trustee of the UC Santa Barbara Foundation and advises the dean’s Investment Group, reflecting his commitment to fostering financial and technological innovation.
